Job summary

AoPS Academy is hiring a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year in Austin, TX. You will teach using a company-designed curriculum for advanced language arts students, lead small classes, and engage learners through student-led activities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (education or humanities preferred), strong reading/writing/grammar knowledge, with prior teaching or tutoring experience. In-person, evenings and weekends, ~3 hours per week per class.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Bachelor's degree in education or humanities preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• K-12 classroom teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach using company curriculum for advanced language arts.
• Lead small classes of up to 16 students.
• Grade tests and provide feedback to students.
• Build relationships with students and families to support learning.
• Inspire a love of learning and critical thinking in language arts.
