Job summary

JCC East Bay is seeking an Afterschool Inclusion Specialist for the Oakland area (Kids' Club). The role focuses on supporting students with additional needs, creating behavior plans, and collaborating with the inclusion team and teachers.

This is a part-time position with a Monday–Friday 1:00 PM–6:00 PM schedule. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience with children who have behavioral needs and is skilled in communication, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with children who have behavioral needs.
• Experience with children in grades K–5.
• ABA or Special Education training preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create toolboxes and behavior plans with site leadership for students needing extra support.
• Provide emotional regulation and behavioral support to students, including those with autism, ADHD, or developmental disabilities.
• Assist teachers with behavior management and conflict resolution.
• Model inclusive strategies and engage all students needing extra support.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and support afterschool program operations.
