Commonpoint Queens is seeking a Youth Supervision & Development staff member to supervise students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade in a safe, engaging program.

You will provide academic support, plan activities aligned with the schedule, model positive youth development, and guide transitions to maintain structure. Availability Monday through Friday is required and you will collaborate with site staff to support student success.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.

• Supervise & Support: Provide active supervision of students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging program environment
• Academic Support: Provide homework assistance and encourage positive study habits while supporting students' academic success.
• Program Facilitation: Plan and facilitate engaging educational, recreational, and enrichment activities aligned with the program schedule and site plan.
• Positive Youth Development: Model respectful behavior, reinforce program expectations, and use positive behavior management strategies to support student success.
• Guide Transitions: Safely supervise and support students as they transition between activities, maintaining structure and engagement throughout the program.

Conoscenze

2 years experience with children

Bilingual or multilingual

Formazione
