Job summary

Kamaʻāina Kids in Hawaiʻi’s Waimea area is seeking an energetic, dependable person for an After School Group Leader role. You’ll lead activities, supervise kids, and support homework, creating a safe, engaging environment after school.

Schedule is Monday–Friday afternoons (≈1:45 PM–4:40 PM) with early-release Wednesdays; benefits include childcare discounts, tuition assistance up to $1,000/semester, 401(k) with match, paid training, PTO/holidays, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Able to commute to a site in Waimea.

Responsibilities

• Lead recreational activities, games, and enrichment projects.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
• Support homework completion and academic success.
• Encourage positive behavior and character development.
• Foster friendships and inclusion among children.
• Ensure children's safety and well-being.
• Work alongside a fun and supportive team.
