Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. seeks enthusiastic instructors to lead after-school chess sessions in Bowie, MD. This fall-season opportunity offers 1–5 classes per week, typically 2:00 PM–5:00 PM, with mileage reimbursement for travel between schools.

You will guide 10–15 elementary students using our curriculum, promote good sportsmanship, and ensure safety while keeping classes engaging and fun.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring groups of children.
• Ability to explain chess basics to kids age elementary.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between schools.
• Positive, engaging, and safety-conscious demeanor.
• Available weekday afternoons 2–5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 students.
• Use structured curriculum to teach fundamentals and sportsmanship.
• Maintain a lively, positive classroom environment.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols during arrival, dismissal, and activities.
• Travel to local school sites for each session.
