Discovery Point - Mooresville is seeking an enthusiastic floater to assist multiple classroom teachers in delivering activities aligned with our approved curriculum, promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, while maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.

The role supports Lead and Assistant Teachers, helps prepare and clean classrooms, assists with meals and feeding, interacts with children with respect, and adapts to each child’s pace to provide developmentally

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements with WORKS Letter from DCDEE.
• BSAC certification.
• Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum; EDU119 optional.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; EDU119 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Afterschool teacher from 2:30-6pm.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.
• Prepare classrooms for daily activities and assist with cleanup.
• Assist with meal and snack preparation and feeding as needed.
• Supervise children and ensure safety per plans and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and families.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as requested.
• Work in other classrooms as needed based on staffing.
