Job summary

Beehive: A Community Playspace in Philadelphia is seeking enthusiastic Afterschool Lead Teachers to support young learners after school hours, with a starting pay of $23 an hour. You will work with kids from pre-kindergarten through 3rd grade, lead arts-infused activities, and coordinate walking trips to nearby schools as a key part of the role.

Applicants should be reliable, caring, and excellent communicators, and be at least 18 years old.

Must:

• have experience in education and working with kids ages pre-k to 3rd grade
• be detailed oriented, reliable, caring and have strong communication skills
• a love of arts and teaching
• willingness and ability to walk to and from neighborhood schools (some 30+ minute walks might be required) with students. This is not optional but a huge part of the job. You might also need to push a stroller or pull a wagon.
