Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in line with federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage visitor check-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access concerns, and security-related observations.
