Job summary

Mathnasium of Brookfield is looking for an Afternoon Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging learning experience for students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 12th. We are looking for people with availability from 2:45pm-5pm each Mon-Thurs, with live tutoring 3-5pm and occasional virtual tutoring from 4-5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This part-time role offers flexible hours, training in the Mathnasium Method™, and the opportunity to contribute to the community while developing

Qualifications

• A passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid math competency through Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Willingness to learn and be trained

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
• Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed

Position Summary

Mathnasium of Brookfield is looking for an awesome Afternoon Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging learning experience for students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 12th. WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIFIC AVAILABILITY FROM 2:45pm-5pm each Mon-Thurs. This Afternoon instructor will help with live tutoring 3-5pm each day and may be asked to do virtual tutoring from 4-5pm (on Monday & Tuesdays). This opportunity presents the right candidate a unique role focused on helping the community and working with students, as well as a rich experience developing professional skills.

All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency (don't worry, it's not that hard) and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is given the opportunity to complete training in the Mathnasium Method™. This is a part-time role with flexible hours. Top notch high school students, college students, teachers, and retirees are encouraged to apply!
