Job summary

Mathnasium of Brookfield is seeking an Afternoon Math Instructor / Tutor to provide engaging, student-centered math instruction for learners from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

The role requires availability 2:45pm-5pm on Mon-Thu, with optional virtual tutoring 4-5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. This part-time position offers flexible hours, training, and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for math and working with students.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Competency in math through Algebra I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring to students.
• Teach in-center using Mathnasium Method and structured pedagogy.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality student experience.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework.
• Maintain a clean, conducive learning environment; assist with non-teaching tasks.

Position Summary

Mathnasium of Brookfield is looking for an awesome Afternoon Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging learning experience for students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 12th.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIFIC AVAILABILITY FROM 2:45pm-5pm each Mon-Thurs. This Afternoon instructor will help with live tutoring 3-5pm each day and may be asked to do virtual tutoring from 4-5pm (on Monday & Tuesdays). This opportunity presents the right candidate a unique role focused on helping the community and working with students, as well as a rich experience developing professional skills.

All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency (don't worry, it's not that hard) and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is given the opportunity to complete training in the Mathnasium Method™. This is a part-time role with flexible hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
• Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed
