Job summary

Optalis Health & Rehabilitation in Michigan is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight of resident care across shifts. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure compliance with nursing standards, and handle resident/family concerns, stepping in for DON or Administrator when needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing 24-hour reports, coordinating care for emergent and non-emergent situations, supporting admissions/discharges, and mentoring staff while promoting infection

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in Michigan.
• Prior supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure quality resident care during assigned shifts.
• Review 24-hour reports and incident logs to ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
• Assess and manage emergent and non-emergent resident situations, coordinating care as needed.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage and assist with scheduling as needed.
• Provide orientation, mentoring, and evaluation of nursing staff.
• Support infection control, quality assurance, and survey preparation activities.
