Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Shipping Dock Worker at our Plainfield, IN facility for the Afternoon shift. You will handle picking in GreyOrange or Jennifer systems, verify titles and quantities, and label/sort boxes for shipping.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, adherence to safety rules, and a willingness to work a 3:00pm–11:00pm schedule with overtime. On-demand pay and potential permanent hire after 90 days are offered.

Qualifications

• 4 months distribution facility experience.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs.
• Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced, seasonal work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items.
• Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions.
• Label, scan, and sort boxes for shipping.
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required.
