Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Shipping Forklift Operator for the Afternoon Shift. The role operates cherry pickers and forklifts, performs pick, load/unload, and cycle counts, with safety shoes required. 90-day path to permanent employment, full-time schedule, and overtime mandatory.

Shifts 3:00pm-11:00pm; $19.00–$21.50 per hour with $2.50 shift differential; on-demand pay. New hires participate in a 90-day evaluation period designed to support training and successful

Qualifications

• 6 months previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to work at heights of 30+ feet.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker
• Case pick, full pallet pick, load/unload - other duties on or off the forklift as assigned
• Stow product
• Cycle counts to maintain inventory levels
• Follow all safety guidelines - safety shoes required
