Job summary

Kids Crossing Daycare in Sioux Falls is seeking a dependable Part-Time Closer to join our team. You will help close our daycare with safe, nurturing care for children and prepare the classroom for the next day.

The role offers consistent afternoon hours, no nights or weekends, and potential opportunities to move into full-time as we grow. Prior childcare experience is preferred, and CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass required child abuse/neglect screening and background checks.
• Must meet state requirements for employment in a licensed childcare program.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete required certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality care to children
• Supervise and actively engage with children during afternoon activities and play
• Assist with snacks, toileting/diapering, and other daily care needs
• Greet and communicate with parents during afternoon pick-up
• Maintain a warm, welcoming environment for children and families
• Complete end-of-day classroom cleaning and closing tasks
• Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and prepared for the following day
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff
• Follow all Kids Crossing policies and state childcare licensing requirements
