Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking a Floating Teacher to provide flexible classroom support across centers. The role involves stepping into different classrooms, assisting with daily care, supervision, and educational activities while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

You will support lead and assistant teachers with routines, meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Childcare or classroom experience is a plus.
• Must meet state and center requirements for working in a childcare setting.
• Must pass background checks and employment screenings.
• Dependable, punctual and flexible with daily assignments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient and able to stay calm in a busy classroom.
• Able to follow directions and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms and teachers as needed throughout the day.
• Provide attentive supervision and ensure safety and well-being of children.
• Assist with activities, lesson plans and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Help with meals, diapering, toileting, nap time and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Follow center policies, procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
• Step into different classrooms and adapt to varying routines and ages.
• Communicate with teachers and management about needs or concerns.
• Assist with opening, closing and other center duties.
