The Bird’s Nest is seeking an energetic Assistant Afternoon Teacher to join our team after school, helping with planned activities, reading, and joyful play.

You’ll support little ones with daily routines, outdoor time, and safe supervision, while building warm relationships and encouraging big feelings to learn.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with children and be comfortable in a playful setting.
• Willing to engage with kids on the floor and participate in activities.
• Capable of following directions and accepting feedback.
• Experience in childcare or classroom settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help with fun, planned afternoon activities
• Read books, sing songs, and get silly
• Get on the floor and PLAY with our Birdies
• Help little ones work through big feelings
• Join in outdoor play
• Help with snack, potty/diapers, and daily routines
• Keep our Birdies safe through active supervision
• Help clean, organize, and reset the classroom
• Make pickup time happy, safe, and smooth
• Jump in and help your team wherever needed
