Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Avon is hiring an in-home caregiver for afternoon shifts, with additional hours available. Pay starts at $18 per hour, with potential for $20 once CNA certification is earned. Part-time or full-time positions include weekend shifts and benefits.

A free CNA class may be available after 5 months for qualified candidates. Responsibilities include personal care, mealtime assistance, documentation, errands with your own vehicle, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs as needed.
• Assist clients at mealtime and monitor eating habits.
• Ensure documentation is complete and in compliance.
• Provide errands and transportation with own vehicle.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Able to assist both male and female clients with personal cares
• Must have had driver's license for at least 3 years, personal vehicle to use during shift
• Clean driving record
