Job summary

Granite Falls School District seeks a Specialized Paraprofessional to support students at Granite Falls High School. The role is on-site, part-time, with approximately 35 minutes per day across Tue, Wed, and Fri, totaling 1 hour 45 minutes per week, under a 180-day continuing contract.

Wage is $24.49 without degree and $24.99 with degree. Overtime requires prior approval and no comp-time accrues. Training in Right Response and Medication Delegation is required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and either two years post-secondary study or AA degree or higher or have passed the ParaPro assessment.
• Background clearance results (fingerprinting) and proof of ability to work in the United States; valid WA driver’s license may be required.
• CPR & first aid training may be required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students individually or in groups to promote understanding of materials and achievement of objectives.
• Communicate progress with teachers and adjust methods to student needs.
• Maintain records and assist with grading and scheduling; may supervise tests.
