Qualifications

• If in a Title 1 school, 48 college credits or ParaPro exam required.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement drill and practice exercises for groups or individuals designed by the teacher.
• Keep accurate data on groups and students; data collection methods are set by the teacher.
• Supervise and monitor student activities in school and community settings; assist access to transportation.
• Provide personal maintenance care related to self-help and hygiene as needed.
• Apply procedures to manage student behavior per district policies.
• Support a positive self-concept and a safe learning environment.
• Supervise students to ensure safety during activities.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials under teacher direction.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student progress and needs.
• Must be able to work the assigned hours; bus supervision may be included.
• Participate in professional development for Special Education.
