Job summary

The Granite Falls School District seeks a Classified/Specialized Paraprofessional to support students at Granite Falls High School. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6.5 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, starting when filled and ending January 28, 2027.

Responsibilities include tutoring, supporting classroom instruction, maintaining records, supervising behavior, providing first aid, and collaborating with teachers to tailor remediation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ETS ParaPro assessment or two years of college.
• Background clearance and ability to work in the United States; WA driver’s license may be required.
• CPR & first aid may be required; physical intervention training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students individually or in small groups to promote understanding of materials.
• Communicate with teachers on student progress and adjust methods as needed.
• Maintain records for assessment of student progress and assist with tests.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain discipline according to policies.
• Assist students with developing interpersonal skills and refer concerns as needed.
• Establish effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
• Provide first aid to injured or ill students as appropriate.
• Prepare, duplicate, and distribute instructional materials.
