Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer at WEST POINT, VA to support access control for a manufacturing/industrial site. This part-time role offers afternoon shifts and a flexible schedule, with shift coverage on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist with badge processes, and provide courteous customer service while maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain entry records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe delivery/shipping activity and report anomalies to site leadership.
