Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Access Control at our West Point, VA site. This full-time role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and maintaining access logs while delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will monitor activity, respond to incidents, and perform routine patrols to deter unauthorized access. A high school diploma and background check are required; driver’s license is needed only for

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control vehicle, pedestrian, and material access in accordance with site procedures, including directing authorized deliveries and notifying appropriate site contacts of arrivals.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
