Job summary

IHI Turbo America is seeking an Aftermarket Product Development Engineer to lead design, development, testing and documentation for multiple projects in support of existing products and new applications. This role will own technical development of new boosting applications for the aftermarket group and requires knowledge of engine matching and validation testing.

Qualifications

• Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Experience: 3+ years automotive and product design experience preferred.
• Proficient in Catia and MS Office; experience with Sage ERP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design new turbocharger and supercharger components.
• Perform structural and aerodynamic analysis.
• Create layout in CAD system.
• Select materials and manufacturing processes; work with suppliers.
• Develop components to meet design performance, cost and durability targets.
• Specify test criteria; design fixtures and instrumentation; conduct tests and write reports.
• Perform “matching” to optimize specifications for customer rating requirements.
