Job summary

Körber Pharma in the United States is seeking a regional sales professional to hunt aftermarket opportunities and build long-term relationships with customers across the region.

You will lead service contracts, inventory programs, and specialized services while collaborating with Sales leadership to drive growth; travel up to 50% of the year is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in industrial/technical environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharma, biotech, or complex machinery.
  • Able to travel 50% of the year.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Salesforce knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt for new aftermarket business opportunities within the region.

  • Manage service contracts and renewals.

Your role in our team
  • You will operate independently and strategically “hunting” for new aftermarket business opportunities within the region.
  • You will initiate and develop long‑term relationships with regional customers, providing long‑term spare part inventory programs, tooling commitments, retrofit sales, preventative maintenance agreements, and specialized services (e.g. embedded production support, OEM improvement analysis, etc.).
  • You will pursue and manage service contracts and schedules, including annual renewals.
  • You will organize and lead ongoing support meetings with the customer base to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
  • You will maintain an action log from support meetings and coordinate issue resolution internally.
  • You will collaborate with Sales leadership and cross‑functional teams to develop and implement aftermarket business initiatives.
  • You will provide analytical data to management, including sales forecasting, business planning, account analysis.
  • You will travel throughout the assigned region as required to maintain customer relationships and drive growth.
  • You will advocate for the customer while aligning with company goals and profitability targets.
  • You will partner with senior management to develop the long‑term organizational structure required to support regional business growth.
  • You will ensure compliance with the company’s employee manual and policies.
  • You will achieve company goals for aftermarket sales revenue within the assigned region.
  • You will interface cross‑functionally to ensure seamless transfer of information and customer support.
Your profile
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • You have a minimum of three years of experience in sales, preferably in an industrial or technical environment.
  • You have a minimum of five years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech industry and/or complex machinery.
  • You are able to work independently.
  • You are able to travel 50% of the year.
  • You have well‑developed presentation skills.
  • You exhibit clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have excellent customer‑relations skills and are a very good customer listener.
  • You are able to negotiate contracts.
  • You are able to make effective and persuasive arguments.
  • You are able to display organisational skills.
  • You have the ability to multitask.
  • You can demonstrate computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You can demonstrate computer literacy with Salesforce.
