Job summary

UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital is seeking a Neurology/Neurosurgery Afterhours/Weekend Technician to support anesthesia, surgical procedures and patient care in a fast-paced, hospital setting. The position requires RVT licensure in California, strong patient management, and the ability to work independently with supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include anesthesia induction and monitoring, OR assistance, client communication, patient admission and discharge, and collaboration

Qualifications

• California RVT license or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Experience providing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Experience with IV catheterization, blood draws, venipuncture and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Neurology / Neurosurgery Technical Support.
• 30% - Surgery and Operating Room Functions.
• 30% - Anesthesia Support.
