UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital seeks an Anesthesia Technician to provide anesthesia support, monitor anesthetized patients, and maintain comprehensive anesthesia records. The role involves collaboration with a supervising veterinarian, protocol development, and cross-service support when anesthesia is not required.

Qualifications

• Valid California RVT license or eligible to practice in California.
• Ability to independently provide treatment of patients with dynamic, life-threatening conditions.
• Experience handling dogs, cats, and other species in a hospital setting.
• Experience calculating drug dosages and administering medications.
• Experience placing vascular catheters, inducing anesthesia, monitoring, and recovering patients.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to engage diverse students, staff, clinicians and clients.
