Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for afterhours coverage at Emory, GA. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an inpatient setting, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and comfort for patients and families.

The candidate should have an Associate degree in nursing, an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of acute care experience; hospice/home care experience is

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• Home care and/or Hospice experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the applicable state(s) is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments including vital signs and reviews of medical history.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient status and response to treatments.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and self-care techniques.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living to promote comfort and independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
