Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is seeking a Youth Program Leader (Bilingual: English/Spanish) to guide TK-8 students in Daly City, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Mateo, or South San Francisco sites during the 2026-2027 school year.

You will manage a classroom of 10-20 students, provide mentoring, lead enrichment activities, communicate with families, and participate in staff meetings while delivering safe, engaging learning experiences after school hours.

Qualifications

• Commitment to BGCP’s mission and vision; TK-8 youth focus.
• Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities.
• Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred one year of experience with TK-8 youth.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of approximately 10-20 students per 1 staff.
• Provide academic mentoring and homework assistance.
• Lead students through academic activities.
• Adapt lesson plans for enrichment classes and clubs (art, cooking, STEM, fitness).
• Conduct life skills and team-building activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership.
• Engage in weekly check-ins and participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain a positive, safe, productive work environment.
• Participate in supporting special events and field trips.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities.
