The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking a Part-Time Zone Program Aide to support the Zone Program Coordinator and ensure a positive, safe after-school environment that fosters academic, creative, and athletic development in Glendale, CA.

The role involves assisting with daily program activities, helping with snack service, and transporting participants during field trips and other outings, while upholding program policies and collaborating with staff, volunteers, parents, and children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Zone Program Coordinator in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
• Provide academic support and structure to youth during program hours.
• Supervise and instruct youth to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Participate in planning and leading enrichment activities.
• Lead and manage large groups of youth independently.
• Guide and support volunteer tutors in the Zone After-School Program.
• Observe and document student progress to support individuals and families.
• Provide transportation for participants during field trips and outings.
• Uphold Zone After-School Program policies and assist with setup and cleanup.
