Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Zone Program Aide to support the Zone Program Coordinator in delivering a positive, safe after-school environment that fosters academic, creative, and athletic development. You will assist with daily activities, snack service, and program setup and cleanup, including transportation for field trips.

You will help supervise youth, support enrichment activities, document progress, and uphold program policies while collaborating with staff,

Qualifications

Must pass a criminal background check.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated professionalism in interactions with participants, colleagues, and community contacts.
Proficiency in using basic office computing systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Zone Program Coordinator in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
Provide academic support and structure to youth during program hours.
Supervise and instruct youth to ensure safety and program adherence.
Participate in planning and execution of enrichment activities.
Lead and manage large groups of youth effectively and independently.
Support volunteer tutors in the Zone After-School Program.
Provide transportation for participants for field trips and outings.
Observe and document student progress to support individual children and families.
