Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro seeks a Youth Development Professional (After School) for the Middle School program at Bancroft Middle School, San Leandro. The role is part-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 1:00–6:00 PM, with compensation of $20-$25/hour.

You'll help create a safe, fun, and inclusive after-school environment that supports academic success and social-emotional growth for middle school youth. Summer Camp work may be available based on needs and availability.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Supervision: Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for all youth, ensuring their well-being throughout all activities.
• Engaging Program Facilitation: Plan and lead after-school programs for about 20 students, fostering growth and academic success.
• Lesson Planning & Classroom Management: Develop lessons for diverse learners and enforce group agreements.
• Daily Routine Oversight: Manage daily activities, lessons, playtime, breaks, and meals.
• Progress Tracking & Communication: Monitor participation and share updates with the Program Manager.
• Classroom Organization & Preparedness: Maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Mentorship & Relationship Building: Serve as a positive role model and foster inclusivity.
• Team Collaboration & Support: Work with colleagues to achieve goals and support other sites.
