Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional Substitute for After School Sites in Carson. You will plan, implement and supervise engaging programs across site locations, provide homework help, and maintain a safe learning environment for youth.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, experience with children, knowledge of youth development, CPR/First Aid certifications and TB clearance, vaccination, and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• CPR and First Aid certifications and TB clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate after-school activities.
• Provide daily homework and tutoring assistance.
• Register new members and orient new members.
• Maintain safety, discipline and orderly environment in program areas.
• Prepare weekly and monthly activity schedules and reports.
• May drive Club van and obtain Class B license.
