New York Edge is seeking a Cheerleading Specialist to organize, lead and coach youth in after-school programs in New York City public schools. You will promote cheer activities, organize groups, and deliver curriculum-based instruction 2:30 pm–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, 9–15 hours weekly.

The role requires knowledge of cheer styles, prior teaching experience with youth, and strong communication. Safety and staff collaboration are emphasized in this part-time position.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum of one year of coaching experience.
• Passion for New York Edge's mission and youth development.

• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and order.
• Organize, lead, and promote cheerleading activities.
• Direct performance groups and rehearsals.
• Set objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
• Adapt activities to student needs and interests.

• Evaluate activities to ensure desired results.
