Job summary

The City of Alameda is seeking Recreation Leaders to plan and run school-year programs for youth and teens. Work includes sports, arts and crafts, cooking, dance, drama, and city-wide events. Hours vary and may include afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed by the program.

Qualifications

• All positions require current certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Volunteer or Recreation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and conduct a variety of recreation programs for youth.
• Assist with scheduling and supervising activities across program areas.
• Ensure safety, conduct, and quality of programs in line with department standards.
