Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is seeking a part-time Certified Teacher at Gamble Rogers in St. Augustine, FL. The role focuses on tutoring, homework help, and reading enrichment for youth aged 6 to 18, with a strong emphasis on safety and positive youth development.

You will plan and deliver tutoring programs, supervise activities, and contribute to a welcoming, structured environment. A Florida teaching certificate or national accreditation is required, along with a Level II

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
• Knowledge of youth development and ability to motivate youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to Club members, and assist volunteers.
• Design, plan and facilitate activities around homework to increase student engagement.
• Tutor high-risk students below grade level or with low test scores in language, reading, math or science.
• Assist students with special assignments and stay familiar with current textbooks and materials used by students.
• Prepare weekly reports and maintain daily schedules to ensure programs start and end on time.
