Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida is seeking a part-time Certified Teacher for Gamble Rogers in St. Augustine, FL. You will plan, supervise, and implement tutoring and reading enrichment for members aged 6–18, ensuring safe and supportive environments and incorporating character development.

Responsibilities include tutoring, activity design around homework, and participation in program planning and evaluation. A Florida teaching certificate or national accreditation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to Club members.
• Design, plan and facilitate activities around homework assignments to increase student interest.
• Tutor high-risk students below grade level performance or below average test scores.
• Assist students with special homework assignments and projects.
• Familiarize with current textbooks and learning materials used by students.
• Ensure safety and positive environment; provide guidance and role modeling.
• Plan and implement a range of program services and activities for members (field trips, guest speakers).
• Monitor program achievement and participate in staff meetings.
• Participate in Boys & Girls Clubs education programs and competitions.

Education
