Job summary

The Burlington Community School District is seeking part-time 21st Century Afterschool Staff to support after-school learning for elementary students across designated sites in Burlington, IA.

You will assist with instructional activities, supervise students, and help create an inclusive, safe enrichment environment after the regular school day. This role offers value in community service and collaboration with site coordinators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Bachelor degree preferred)
• Prior experience working with elementary students preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated times
• Assist or teach the adopted curriculum or enrichment activity
• Develop activities for individualized, small group, and large group instruction
• Provide enrichment opportunities for students and families
• Supervise pupils after school activities and events
• Adhere to federal, state, and local educational laws and district policies
