Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma with college coursework in child development or related field.
• Two years' experience working in a school or after-school program or volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring environment for students in an after-school program and prepare materials.
• Tutoring and homework assistance in reading, math, history/social studies or science.
• Lead and supervise activities for 1–20 students in classroom and outdoor settings.
• Model positive behaviors and enforce established rules and procedures.
• Administer first aid and report safety hazards; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Perform clerical tasks including attendance, records, and bulletin boards.
