Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Florida is seeking a part-time after-school educator to supervise and mentor school-aged children. The role runs Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm–6:00 pm, totaling 25 hours per week and involves planning engaging activities and ensuring a safe, positive environment for children and families.

Responsibilities include tutoring, progress reporting to parents, and providing transportation to activities, with a focus on safety and supportive learning experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year teaching school-aged basics or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• 45-hour DCF required school age training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises children, implements activities, maintains classroom environment and safety.
• Conducts individual and group tutoring sessions and shares progress with parents.
• Plans playground, sports, arts, and crafts activities for children.
• Provides transportation for children to and from activities including after-school pick-ups.

Schedule/Hours: M – F 1:30 pm – 6 pm - 25 hours a weekThis position is responsible for:Supervises children, implements activities, maintains classroom environment, ensures children’s safety, establishes a positive environment for children and families.
