Job summary

YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a Teen Leaders mentor to supervise and guide middle and high school youth after school. You will help plan engaging activities, foster a welcoming space, and support teens in growth and development.

You will lead dynamic programs, promote inclusion, and collaborate with staff while embodying core Y values. CPR/First Aid certified staff training is provided upon hire, with opportunities for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging middle and high school youth in recreation and leadership activities.
• Strong group management and understanding of teen development.
• Mature judgment and ability to lead by example.
• CPR/First Aid certification desired; training available on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school activities (PE, community time, college/career exploration) in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Assist Site Coordinators in program operations and supervision per policies.
• Develop student-centered clubs promoting inclusion and leadership.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and incident reports accurately.
• Attend staff meetings and training; accept feedback for program improvements.
