LearningWorks Afterschool is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support elementary students in the LearningWorks Afterschool Program. You will work alongside Site Coordinators and teachers to reinforce school-day learning and provide engaging enrichment activities.

Ideal candidates bring experience with youth, strong communication, and comfort with educational tech tools. The role emphasizes a structured, welcoming classroom where students feel safe and supported.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth; elementary students preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with educational tech platforms and collaboration.
• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging academic instruction and enrichment activities.
• Provide small-group and one-on-one academic support.
• Collaborate with Teachers, Site Coordinators, and school staff to meet student needs.
• Observe student progress and share updates with Teachers and Site Coordinators.
• Attend weekly team meetings, trainings, and PD opportunities.
