Job summary

Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Wilder, Idaho, is seeking an AfterSchool Teacher to join our Wilder Y Kids program. This part-time role supports children and families after school with engaging activities and safe supervision.

You will help implement the curriculum, communicate with families, and foster inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences through play and structured activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year working with children preferred.
• Ability to engage others and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that fosters safety through active supervision and by role modeling safe behavior.
• Nurture children through purposeful programs dedicated to building relationships, achievement, and belonging.
• Develop intentional relationships and maintain effective daily communication with participants and parents.
• Implement the established curriculum.
• Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support children’s appropriate development and behavior.
