Treasure Valley Family YMCA Eagle Academy Y Teens is seeking an After School Teacher to join the team! This role focuses on fostering a development environment for each child while supporting families with diverse needs and interests.

Part-time position averaging 15 hours per week during the school year. Schedule is 1:15pm to 4:15pm, Monday through Thursday. Pay is $15.45-$19.31/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year working with children preferred.
• Able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills; professional and articulate when dealing with others.

Our Eagle Academy Y Teens is seeking an After School Teacher to join the team! This individual is responsible for creating an environment with a teaching team that promotes each child’s development and supports children and their family’s diverse needs and interest.

At the Y, we believe every child is of promise and deserves the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The Treasure Valley Family YMCA’s Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.

Schedule

Required Licensure and/or certifications

• Boise City and/or Idaho State Childcare License - Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
• Pediatric CPR/AED - Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
• First Aid - Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
