Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks a School Age Teacher to shape after-school experiences for children. You will design engaging activities, implement thoughtful lesson plans, and maintain a structured, safe environment.

Ideal candidates bring one year of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a preference for education or child development studies. CPR/First Aid certifications and bilingual abilities are a plus. This is a part-time, non-exempt role based in Marvin, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in education or child development is preferred.
• Ongoing professional development hours as required by state/local licensing are expected.

Responsibilities

• Designs engaging activities by applying principles of Child Development to meet diverse student needs.
• Creates and implements effective Lesson Planning strategies balancing academics and play.
• Maintains a positive, structured environment with Classroom Management techniques.
• Adapts learning materials using Differentiated Instruction for diverse learning styles.
• Builds strong partnerships with families through regular Parent Communication about progress and activities.
• Tracks student growth and dynamics through Student Assessment to refine programs.
