Job summary

Wonder Academy in Indian Trail, NC seeks a compassionate After-School Teacher to supervise and guide children 6–12, with flexible part-time or potential full-time summer opportunities. You will plan activities, support learning with homework help, and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment while collaborating with fellow staff and parents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher, teaching credentials where applicable, and CPR/First Aid; NC background checks and health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certification or relevant licensure if applicable.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with modern educational tools and resources.
• Must obtain NC Child Care Criminal Qualifying Letter.
• TB screening and health assessment required.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience with children in educational or recreational settings.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate interactive and innovative teaching methods using technology.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and collaborate with staff.
• Plan and lead educational and recreational activities.
• Provide homework assistance and academic support.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and well‑being.
