Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Teacher to support elementary-aged children during afterschool programs on school grounds. You will lead, coach and mentor teammates while implementing our curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment.

You’ll partner with families and administrators to boost engagement and enrollment, aiming for program quality and accreditation goals. A CDA credential and 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience are preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree in ECE

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
