Job summary

Discovery Kidzone Montessori School in Helena, MT is seeking an After School Teacher & Driver for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role involves transporting children after school, supervising activities, and leading engaging, safe experiences in a fun, active environment.

No prior childcare experience is required as training is provided; you will work Monday-Friday (when applicable) and contribute to a supportive team that fosters growth, learning, and friendships after school.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Be comfortable driving a 14-passenger van or small bus.
• Be comfortable actively participating in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Be dependable, patient, and calm in a busy environment.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Have an interest in working with school-age children.
• Be willing to complete required Montana licensing and training requirements.
• Be CPR Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children from local schools to Discovery Kidzone and scheduled activities.
• Drive a 14-passenger van or small bus while following all safety procedures.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
• Lead outdoor games, recreational activities, creative projects, and group experiences.
• Encourage teamwork, positive social interactions, independence, and confidence.
• Help children develop problem-solving and communication skills.
• Assist with snacks, restroom routines, transitions, and other daily needs.
• Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and vehicle environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support successful daily program operations.
