Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. in Sterling, VA, is seeking a Group Leader Assistant for Sully Elementary to support after-school programs and inspire students through World Languages, STEAM, and arts. This role emphasizes safe, structured activities in a high-energy setting.

You will assist with daily curriculum activities, maintain safety, keep spaces organized, and foster strong relationships with kids, families, and school staff, while supporting a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in a large setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.
