Job summary

A leading educational institution in Redmond is seeking a creative educator to join their team. The role involves developing programming to inspire children's growth, supervising play, and engaging with families. Ideal candidates have experience in Montessori settings and are able to foster a nurturing environment. This is a part-time on-site position with a Monday through Friday schedule following the school calendar.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a Montessori setting or afterschool program required.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines.
• Team mindset to support multiple tasks and complete work.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain (paid by Cascadia).
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and supervise indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead creative programming for children's growth.

• Organize attendance and after school snacks.
• Maintain open communication with teaching staff and After School Program Coordinator.

When you join our team you will:

• Develop and lead creative programming to inspire growth and learning;
• Supervise play indoor and/or outdoor for safety and engagement;
• Record attendance and organize after school snacks;
• Maintain open lines of communication with teaching staff and After School Program Coordinator;
• Be a vital piece of the Cascadia puzzle in education, classroom management, and student safety.

We would love to talk with you if you possess the following skills and experience:

• 2+ years experience in a Montessori setting, summer camp, and/or afterschool program
• Ability to cultivate relationships with students, their families, and coworkers
• Desire to instill a sense of learning through discovery and play
• Team mindset to serve and assist on various tasks to ensure all work is completed
• CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain (paid for by Cascadia)
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, work indoors or outdoors, be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activities with children
• Meet state specific guidelines

Hours and schedule:

This is an on-site position at Cascadia’s Redmond campus with a Monday through Friday schedule that follows the school calendar. When school is in session, working hours are generally 2:30pm to 6:15pm.

Term:

This is a contract position for the remainder of the 2025-2026 academic school year, with the ability to extend into summer programs based on performance and fit.
