Job summary

Nurturing Knowledge School is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and proactive Site Supervisor for our After School program. The role is onsite at Loyal Heights and Greenwood Elementary in Seattle, WA, with approximately 28 hours weekly after school, plus more hours available in the Preschool program.

You will collaborate with Directors to develop staff skills, provide classroom support, mentor lesson planning, and assist families through conferences.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience working with children ages 5-12 and their families.
• 21+ years of age with ECE, CDA, or Bachelor’s degree and 45 ECE credits.
• Willingness to clear a Washington State background check.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Directors to deepen team members' skills and confidence in serving children with behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Provide direct classroom support to maintain teacher-to-child ratios in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Lead team members with kindness and collaboration while guiding daily activities.
• Mentor in lesson planning and help create engaging curricula.
• Support families through parent conferences as needed.

Job description

Nurturing Knowledge School is seeking an energetic, compassionate and proactive team leader to act as a Site Supervisor with our After School program, available onsite at both Loyal Heights Elementary and Greenwood Elementary.

Monday-Friday after school, approx. 28 hours weekly (more hours available in our Preschool program if desired).

Daily Experience:

• Collaborate with our Directors to deepen team members' skills and confidence in serving children with behavioral, social-emotional, and other support needs.
• Provide direct classroom support to maintain teacher-to-child ratios while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Lead team members kindly and confidently, providing direction while remaining approachable and collaborative.
• Mentor in lesson planning, helping to create unique and inspiring curricula.
• Support families through parent conferences as needed.

We Seek:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to respectfully navigate a variety of conversations with children, parents, teachers and community members
• Strong behavior management skills with an understanding of the importance of social-emotional learning, emotional regulation, and connection over correction
• Enthusiasm and genuine joy in working, playing, and engaging with children
• Two (2) or more years experience working with children ages 5-12 and their families
• At least 21 years of age, with an ECE, CDA, or Bachelor's degree in related field, with 45 ECE credits
• Willingness to clear a Washington State criminal background check
• CPR/First Aid Certification
